  • Employee Engagement Needed

    http://money.cnn.com/2010/01/05/news/economy/job_satisfaction_report/index.htm

U.S. job satisfaction hits 22-year low

Did you see the recent report on poor morale and job satisfaction at its all time low since 1988?  Check it out.

Checkout this report -- share with us how you are feeling.

My feelings are there are so many underlying reasons for poor morale and the need for employee engagement to create greater productivity and a sense of trust.  The employee vs. employer relationship/agreements have shifted once again. The worst economic downturn since the Great Depression.  Record breaking layoffs and its slim pickens on finding the same job at the same pay.  Doing more with less you name it ...

Maslow's theory of hierarchy of needs began shortly after he experienced the horror of World War II and Pearl Harbor where he profoundly saw how the lack of understanding amongst each other caused hatred and prejudice.  This is where his vision for a “peace table” was born and from this vision he dedicated his life to the theory of motivation and the hierarchy of needs.

The basic needs of health and financial security have been breached today.  Share your thoughts on this -- include what you believe can be done to address change.
